Jeff is responsible for making sure the sky doesn’t fall down. He also manages the brand identity and visual design across all aspects of client marketing communications programs. His unique blend of design talent and marketing experience enable him to give clients a consistent and professional image that makes them proud and gets results.

With over 15 years as a professional corporate identity designer, Jeff has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from brand and corporate identity design, web design, print and packaging. He has a B.S. in Graphic Design from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has completed marketing courses at UCSC extension. Prior to founding Nielson Design Jeff worked at a senior designer at Liquid Agency in San Jose and as a designer at Fierro Design.

Listening and writing, listening and writing. Nancy is often responsible for words that work with Jeff’s designs and give heart and sense to your identity in all its forms. When you need a writer for professional quality web copy, company backgrounders, brochures — whatever you need to advance your sales or connect with customers—that’s what she’s here for.

For more than 20 years, Nancy has written marketing copy and managed marketing communications projects for companies big and small. From working inside some large high tech companies, she understands corporate and competitive realities. And from running her own creative business, she understands small businesses, too. Nancy has a BA from UCLA, where she started in theater and moved to literature, and an MA from San Jose State University, where she also taught writing.

Storytelling and public speaking. Golf. Baseball (Go SF Giants). And nature walks that she can’t really glorify as “hikes.”
